So how does it work?

Äventyrsgruvan (Adventure Mine) is offering the possibility to dive in a unique underground environment and a lot of work has been put into making your visit a effortless and amazing experience. Here’s everything you need to know before signing up for the adventure of your life.

 

Register as a diver

Start by creating a personal account at REGISTER. Use your account to book your attendance at any available diving event. Upfront online payment is required for the number of days you are expected to dive, but gas and accommodation can be paid either by cash (SEK, EUR) or credit card (VISA, MASTERCARD) at location.

 

Diving in the mine

Diving is taking place on the set dates for the event between 09:00 and 18:00, local time. All gear his hauled up and down the shaft to and from the 80m level using an robust and genuine mine winding engine. The system is not approved for personnel transport so human transportation is conducted using the almost 110m long wooden stairway.

The use of a helmet is required at all times during the stay in the mine, and a basic helmet can be borrowed from the mine without additional cost should you not be able to bring your own.

Both air- and water temperatures are very stable in the mine and can be expected to vary between 4 and 5 degrees Celsius.

In close approximation to the diving platform there is a heated room with basic equipment for heating food and water such as a microwave and water boiler. However there is no food or drink available in the mine as you are expected to bring your own nourishments.

Accommodation

Äventyrsgruvan no longer supplies accomodation during dive weekends. Guests must book their own lodgings with nearby hotels, hostels or other options like Airbnb.

The option of booking the school for individual or group bookings remain but the village council must be contacted and payment is to be made directly to them.

Gas

Gas can be filled at location using a state of the art inline filling system. We offer both oxygen and helium for breathing gas mixes as well as argon for suit inflation cylinders.

However we are currently not offering gas filling using a booster. The standard banked gas for diving is EAN30 as the majority of the dives are performed at a maximum depth of 36m. Dives below the 36m level are permitted for qualifying divers but dives below 55m requires explicit permission from the dive board and manager.

Prices

All payments with credit card, paypal or swish are made in SEK.

Diving fee is paid in advance online. Cancellation of booked diving days has to be made at least 7 days before an event. We take a fee equivalent to the days of diving you have booked if you fail to cancel your booking at least 7 days before an event, for whatever reason.

All gas filling are payed in the mine.

Policy filling of gas

The customer chooses whether they wish to fill gas or not. If the filling tap is opened, you will be charged according to the current price list, regardless of the pressure in the bottle. The fillings are recorded on the diving record that is written for each individual diving day.

Topping

Topping is counted and charged as regular filling. Always inform the customer of how much it costs before filling.

Filling pressure

There is no such thing as standard bottles at Adventuremine, but the person in charge must always check the bottle’s working pressure and that it has an approved test pressure within a maximum of 5 years. If the bottle does not have an approved test print within 5 years, the bottle must not be filled.

We overfill to a maximum of 10% of the bottle’s working pressure. A 200 bar bottle can then be filled to 220 bar and after it has cooled, the pressure will end up at about 200 bar. 232 bar may be filled to a maximum of 255 bar.

100% Oxygen can only be filled to the maximum pressure contained in the gas supplier’s cylinders. We do not take this into account in terms of price, but only inform the customer of the approximate final pressure in his bottles.

 

Analysis of gas

We do NOT analyze the gas, the customer must do that himself. Always inform the customer that the gas has not been analyzed. Adventuremine has an analyzer on site that the customer can borrow free of charge.
